Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority

Government established Sindh TEVTA to undertake & manage TEVT Institutions in the province. In order to extend complete autonomy & effective management, the policy making task has been entrusted to the STEVTA Board consisting of eminent professionals, from Public & Private Sector, Representatives from leading industries, universities etc. Sindh Cabinet in its meeting held on 28th February 2009 entrusted, the administrative control of all TEVT Institutions of the Province to STEVTA.

The mission of STEVTA is to develop qualitative of workforce meeting local and international labor market needs by ensuring excellence in training through research & development, effective management and regulation of TEVT setup in the Province.

Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education

Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education (DIHE) was set up in the year 2000 by Dadabhoy Foundation. The institute received its charter from the government of Sindh in 2003. It has been recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) of Education Department Government of Sindh. DIHE ranks as a top grade educational institution and also as a “W” (A) grade educational Institution because of its well designed academic programs, appropriate educational facilities, high class foreign educated PhD faculty and state-of-the -art facilities.

Newports Institute of Communications & Economics

Newports Institute started as the Karachi Campus of Newport University of California, USA in 1993. As a private sector educational institute NICE is providing professional education in the fields of Business Administration and Computer Science. Due to the excessive requirement of Higher Education in the country the Government realized that Public Sector Universities alone cannot cater to the requirements nationwide and that specialized education should be offered in private sector as well. It was in this background that the Newport University, Karachi Campus in 2002 was awarded a Charter Vide Sindh Ordinance No. XVI of 2002 and was duly recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
